Description
The Digital Arts Academy is an exciting creative arts initiative, offering children hands-on experience in graphic design, comic design, DJing, animation, music production, coding, filmmaking and much more. This academy is part of the Belfast City Council PEACEPLUS Youth Empowerment programme.
We are thrilled to announce our cross community summer programme, taking place at Girdwood Community Hub and Black Mountain Shared Space in Belfast.
Programme Details

Duration: 4 days

Schedule: 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Age Group: 9–12 years old

Capacity: 30 spaces per week

Equipment: All provided (including iPads and accessories for the duration of the week)

Experience Required: None
The programme includes a mix of digital creative workshops, play, social activities, and engaging good relations themed exercises. As a special reward, participants will enjoy a Virtual Reality workshop as well as a showcase event on the final day.

Attendance Requirement: Participants must attend all sessions to fulfill the 24-hour contact time required for funding.

Eligibility:

Each child can only participate in one PEACEPLUS Digital Arts / Arts Academy between 2025–2027.

Open to children with a registered Belfast postcode.

Completing the checkout does not confirm a place – confirmation will be sent via email after all required forms are submitted and spaces allocated. If we are not able to offer your child a space on your preferred week will offer alternative weeks
