DAA Academies Summer 2026
We’re delighted to announce that Digital Arts Academy Summer Programmes will be returning across July & August 2026, delivering another exciting Summer of creative opportunities for young people across Belfast.
This year’s programmes will run from 6th July – 21st August 2026 across a range of venues in the North, South, East and West of the city, delivered on behalf of Belfast City Council PEACEPLUS Youth Empowerment initiative.
There are 25 spaces allocated per programme.
The programmes are completely free to attend for boys and girls aged 9-12. Please note these places are available only to participants who did not previously attend our 2025 summer camps and will be automatically checked against previous applicants info & post codes.

Programme Structure
Participants can choose from either morning or afternoon sessions running consecutively from Monday to Friday:
Morning Sessions Mon – Friday Take Place
09:00 – 12:15
Afternoon Sessions Mon – Friday Take Place
13:00 – 16:15
Across these five-day programmes, young people can take part in either:
• Digital Arts Workshops – Digital Arts Academy
• Drama & Arts Workshops – Beam Creative Network
All sessions are designed to be modern, creative and engaging, while embedding positive good relations themes throughout the overall programme experience.
Whether participants are interested in digital creativity, performance, storytelling, collaboration or developing new skills, the programmes provide a welcoming & inspiring environment to learn, create & connect.

Overview and Introduction
You hare applying for your child to take part in a project which is funded under the Belfast City Council’s PEACEPLUS Local Action Plan. This is funded by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB.) They require Council, and all the funded projects in the Action Plan, to collate some equality and monitoring information.

• To measure and evidence the reach and impact of the PEACEPLUS Programme
• To monitor programme implementation
• To ensure compliance with our legal obligations.
What are we using it for?
Your data upon submission will:
• Make sure equality and good relations are at the heart of the Programme.
• Allow us to better design, adapt, monitor, and evaluate our projects/Programme.
• Help tackle inequalities, sectarianism, racism, and social exclusion.
• To incorporate supports that address the barriers to participation.
Who will receive this data?
The organisation funded to deliver the project or event you are participating in will receive the data you input to the form below. They will share anonymised data with the Belfast City Council PEACEPLUS staff. In turn, Belfast City Council, for equality and monitoring purposes of the overall programme, will share aggregated and collated information with SEUPB, the funding body responsible for the PEACEPLUS Programme as well as with externally appointed, independent evaluators. Anonymised means that you will NOT be connected to the answers you give, and it will not be possible to identify you.
Confidentiality and Security
The law protects your rights to privacy and for your personal data not to be shared unnecessarily. Your name and personal information will not be used in any reports or publications. The data you provide will be stored for 7 years (from the close of the programme in December 2027), which is part of our rules as an organisation (e.g., for auditing or verification purposes).
