Partner with Us: Creative Arts and Digital Innovation for Belfast’s Young People
Over the next three years, we’re offering exciting partnership opportunities for Belfast schools and community groups to host our Digital Arts Academy and Art, Drama & Sport Academy—two unique, hands-on programmes that form part of the Belfast City Council PEACEPLUS Youth Empowerment initiative.
Delivered onsite at your location, these free academies are designed to empower young people aged 9–12 through creative expression, cross-community collaboration, and digital innovation. With a capacity of 30 children per week, each programme blends structured learning with fun, inclusive experiences—no prior experience needed.
The Digital Arts Academy, led by Giga Training, introduces young participants to a vibrant mix of activities including graphic design, animation, filmmaking, DJing, coding, and virtual reality. Young creators will gain real-world digital skills in a supportive, playful environment using all provided equipment such as iPads and accessories.
The Art & Drama Academy, delivered by BEAM Creative Network, offers a dynamic mix of drama, dance, visual arts, storytelling, and outdoor games. Children explore their creativity while building confidence, friendships, and teamwork.

These academies promote inclusion, understanding, and empowerment through creativity and collaboration. Participation is open to children with a registered Belfast postcode, and each child may attend only one programme between 2025 and 2027. Attendance across all sessional activity is essential to fulfil programme requirements.

The personal data may be shared internally within the Council with staff who are involved in providing this service and where necessary, between internal departments with the purpose of supporting an effective delivery of service. It may also be shared with SEUPB and our appointed delivery agents for PEACEPLUS projects for the purposes of monitoring and evaluating the Belfast PEACEPLUS Programme and fulfilling our contractual obligations to SEUPB. Please note that any data shared with the SEUPB will be in an anonymised format.
